Outside Slider Design
The 5”× 5” posts paired with 6”× 6” sliders are among the largest and most robust in the industry. The enclosed 5” posts, featuring precision-cut locking channels, create a secure resting point for the locks while working on or storing vehicles. Unlike other 4-post lift brands, whose sliders often fit loosely and allow unwanted movement, our 6” sliders are precision-fit around the posts to greatly reduce wobble and enhance overall stability. The overall design is also much more stable than cheaper 4 post lifts that use a C-channel design where it is open on the inside of the post.
Primary and Secondary Locking System
Guardian Lifts features a ¾-inch primary safety lock along with a secondary safety lock on our 4-post models. As the lift is raised, you’ll hear the synchronized locks engage at each precision-cut locking position. If a cable were to fail for any reason, the secondary safety lock automatically releases and jams into the channel to prevent the lift from coming down. This dual-lock design, paired with a single-point manual release, is the safest design in the industry allowing you to feel confident in the safety and stability of your lift.
1/2 Inch Cables and 5 inch Pulleys
Guardian Lifts uses 1/2-inch pre-stretched cables rated at 22,500 lbs per cable, along with 5-inch pulleys equipped with cable keepers located on all pulleys above and below the runways. The advantage of 5-inch pulleys with bushings and greasable zerk fittings is that the bushings distribute the load more evenly. In addition, the larger-diameter pulleys reduce cable bending and require fewer rotations around the axle, helping to minimize wear and provides smoother operation. The issue commonly found with 4-inch pulleys with sealed ball bearings on most other brand lifts, is that there is no way for moisture to escape, eventually leading to rust and potential for pulley failure.
Cable Keepers on Every Pulley
The Guardian Lifts 4-Posts features cable keepers on every pulley including all 4 corner posts and underneath the runways. This prevents the issue that is common on other 4-posts where the cable can come off the pulley if there is any slack.
Boxed In Runways
The Guardian Lifts 4-Post features "boxed in" additional steel plating in the center of each runway and additional reinforcement along the entire inner side of each runway. This prevents the issue of bowing and flexing of the runways that you commonly get with most other 4 post lifts on the market.
Solid Steel Baseplate
The Guardian Lifts 4-post lift features a baseplate designed for maximum stability and strength. Measuring 12" x 12" and 5/8" thick—approximately 1/4" thicker than industry standard—the baseplate provides a robust foundation capable of supporting heavy loads without flex or distortion. The increased thickness also minimizes warping during the welding of the posts, ensuring precise alignment and structural integrity.
A critical design element is the placement of the posts near the center of the baseplate rather than along the outer edge. This central positioning optimizes weight distribution across the full 12" x 12" plate, enhancing overall stability under load.
While the lift can be anchored for additional security, it is engineered to perform reliably as a freestanding unit. This allows operators to reposition the lift within a garage or relocate it outdoors if conditions permit, providing maximum versatility without compromising safety or performance.
Reinforced Steel Crossbar
On the Guardian 4‑post lift, the exterior slider and the 2” x 4” crossbeam are fully welded together to form a single, solid component for maximum strength and stability. The crossbeam also features additional steel plating welded on for enhanced structural support. The Guardian Lifts crossbeam is rated to handle up to 27,000 lbs, delivering exceptional strength and durability.
Mobile Caster Kit
All Guardian Lift 4-Posts come standard with a set of casters that attach to the bottom of each post. The weight of the crossbar lowers down into the "saddles" using the weight of the lift to pick itself up. This allows you to easily move the entire lift around in your shop.
Picking Up Your Lift
After placing your order, we will reach out to you with shipping and pickup information.
Lifts are shipped to a freight terminal near your location. You can pick up the lift using a minimum 17ft open solid deck trailer. Make sure there are no ramps or gates attached to the back so the forklift can drive right up to the back of the trailer.
We also have installation available in most areas where an installer would pick up the lift and set it up at your location.
(smaller items will be shipped directly to your address)
